Of all Amun-Ra's children, it is Sekhmet who is most feared. She is one of his fiercest generals and known for her savagery on and off the battlefield. Yet the warrior who fights the hardest also loves the hardest, and when the end of the war is finally at hand, she is eager to return home to the man she believes is waiting for her. Betrayal strikes when she least expects it, reminding Sekhmet that while she may have her uses to the kingdom of Egypt, there are those who simply take her for granted.

If she's going to be treated as the cast-off daughter, the unwanted killer, then that is what she will give them. Sekhmet runs away and decides to become the feared goddess of Egypt's nightmares. When it seems that no one can stop her, it is left to a most unlikely god to show her that there is still some love left for her. Even a feared killer is worthy of love, and the gentlest of gods may yet calm the deadliest of storms.
