I wrote Unlocked to help people acquire what we all need to build resilience and successfully deal with life’s unexpected discomforts. Especially now, with COVID19 spreading anxieties around the world, these resilience practices can enhance your ability to bounce back from unexpected adversities. These practices are more widely needed than ever before.
Long before the advent of this pandemic, I recognized that certain people had the ability to recover successfully when life tried to knock them down, and I found that the traits that enabled those people to comfortably deal with adversity were traits I could develop for myself, and you can, too. In this audiobook, I have defined five practices that build the traits common to those resilient people. I introduce you to the practices that matter, with clear explanation along with optional activities when you want a change.
Drawing on my experience as a business owner, executive, speaker, teacher, mother, and grandmother, and on the many interviews I have conducted with resilient people around the world, I have written Unlocked as a confirmation of those discoveries and included practices that will give you the building blocks of resilience and unlock your ability to choose how you respond to life’s unexpected discomforts.
